After having gone through this 4 years ago I can say spend this time with your wife and daughter. They need you now. It took us 4 years to reach a settlement, these things don’t happen fast. Get them well and home, then look through the solid advice already given on this thread.

Because they are glorified claims adjusters that work toward a profit margin on their % vs actual representation from a professional that’s going to make sure your future needs are taken care of as a result of the negligence caused in the accident.

The vast majority of advertising lawyers don’t try cases or even litigate them. They’re settlement mills set up to maximize their own profit through volume. They often will not get you the best settlement available. Do you think a lawyer who has never sees the inside of a courtroom will have any leverage to maximize the value of the case? And good luck getting your lawyer on the phone.
