Default AR / MS boat hunt

Some buddies of mine out midwest want to get together and do a hunt together. I haven't hunted with them in years and we thought about trying a week out in arkansas / missisippi, something middle ground drivable for us both. We have never been or much less hunted there before, but if anything else its an excuse to get together.
We would want to bring boats and since we have enough guys that would mean I would need to bring mine as a second boat. I am not worried about a couple scratches, but if I am not being reckless driving, is it worth bringing the High Tide fiberglass? We wanted to hit the main river anyway, but it is smart to try and venture off into the swamps and timber ?

I would not take a fiberglass boat into the timber or swamp. When the Rivers up there's no telling what you'll run into

Ive hunted out of my High Tide in Arkansas and Mississippi timber for over 20 years. You would shit your pants if you see what I take it thru without an issue.

I am sorta kinda redoing a high tide. It was pretty well rotten. I took my 28 oz estwing framing hammer to that boat thinking this won't take long. After that I had a totally different level of respect for those boats. I'd take it and not think twice.

I wouldn’t go on the cache for sure. But most other places I can think of would be ok.

You can hunt them out of a paddle boat ... doesn’t make it the best option.

Fiberglass boat will work, aluminum is much better for those situations.

What size motor do you have? (I assume it had t/t since you want a kick plate)

Not that I like admitting this, but my high tide has made a trip across the top of the charleston Jetties very un gracefully and all I had to repair was the gel coat. That should give you some idea of how tough they are.

I dont think it matters what boat you take in the timber.... It has sucked for hunting
