My understanding is you have to have CWP first. Then you apply to government again to open carry.

My understanding is that if you need more than a pistol to carry a pistol then that ain’t the freedom granted by the Constitution.

I initially thought that this change would allow those with cwp’s the option to open carry. That’s not what I’m seeing with the language of what I’ve been reading. It sounds like cwp and open carry are two different permit processes. Wtf?????

Amazing how simple NC's open carry law is, right? South Carolina's legislators could complicate a beer run.

For many years the SC beer run on Sunday meant driving to NC. And before long a weed run will be the same.

I prefer to pay my $50 to carry concealed.

Your disapproval should be directed toward the senators who voted against the Constitutional Carry amendment in the senate. It lost 25/21.

Your Current CWP will work for open carry.

25 rounds will be required in the current CWP Permit instead of 50.

The current $50 fee will no longer be required. Of course SLED wants replacement money from the budget.

2nd amendment sanctuary will presumably protect our state from federal intrusion of our constitutional rights.

Does anyone know when something signed off by the governor takes effect? Immediately upon a signing or is there a set effective date? Someone wake Henry up from his afternoon nap and hand him a pen. I can’t wait to get home and put those ivory grips on the colt .45.

So if I'M reading it right, if you already have a CWP, once the governor signs it, you can open carry or conceal. If you do not have a cwp the new regs will require 25 shots instead of 50 and no $50 fee. Is that correct Duck Tape?

also, wonder how that will translate to our reciprocity with other states?
