    Default Open carry passed

The senate amended the house version of open carry.

The dropped the $50 fee, reduced the number of rounds required for the test to 25.

Made SC a 2nd amendment sanctuary state--- law enforcement cannot enforce an unconstitutional federal gun grab.

    CWP training is required.

Does this mean open carry will for sure happen? When is this going to take effect?

Since the senate amended the house bill we have to approve the changes. I suspect that will be easy.

Curious on particulars. So if you already have CWP after amended bill passed you can open carry?

    Thanks DT,

It might not be everything everyone wanted, but at least it’s a step in the right direction.

I believe so provided SC currently recognizes Florida's permit.
Please don't take my word on it yet. The house has not yet approved the senate amendment.

How about adding wording to that effect.

Is this just for handguns? Or can somebody walk around with an AR strapped to them? Just curious.

So, people who were already authorized to carry guns can now carry guns?

Or, if you get authorized to carry a gun under the old law, you can now carry a gun under the new law?

What a gargantuan waste of time and effort.

This is just a smokescreen so the sheep won’t get riled up because our legislators refuse to recognize the a Constitution.

    Thanks. For nothing.

It protects you while you're at the supermarket, and you bend over for something on the bottom shelf... Some dipshit sees your shirt ride up and notices your G19 which was in a IWB holster... They call the cops, cops come, & if they want to, they can charge/arrest/jail/fine you for unlawfully displaying a firearm.

The new bill protects against that, at least.

I'm for "Constitutional Carry" just because I believe in the 2nd. However, part of me is still against it because there are several idiots I would never want to be around while they had a firearm in their hands.

If that’s the case, I can walk into a store with my 870? Wouldn’t I be charged with brandishing a firearm or something? I just tell the cop it’s legal?
