    Default Mi Tide 1503

Any guesses on why this 3 year old boat is still for sale new?

I bought a new one for 1/2 that right before mitide took over.

That price is with trailer if that matters. I just cruise the websites sometimes to see and notice that ones always there.

I’m probably going to pull the trigger on a new boat this summer and it’ll probably be something like that with a 50 tiller or a 1652 g3 with a 40 tiller.

Yeah it’s in a weird spot. Nice that the tank is in the bow though.

Weird spot and nowhere near flush, cheap plastic fill too on a new boat.

Hi and Mi Tide boats are entry level skiffs. The fit and finish tend to err on the side of shit sandwich.

Great design, components and workmanship tend to suffer to make them affordable.

I absolutely love High Tides, but that one is an abomination.

I have 1503 High Tide with the same fuel fill that Larry McClellan at Cape Romain Marine put in back in the early '90's. How would the experts propose to do it differently with a bow tank on a High Tide? There aren't many other options I am aware of.

I'd have a flush mount and move it to the gunnel, and vent it to overflow outside the boat.

When I had a 1503 I always dreamed about having the fuel tank under the front casting deck. Just couldnt figure out a way that wouldnt get tangled up every cast net, or fishing line, or break my toes.

That plastic fuel fill would get knocked off and broken just on my gunnels at least once a year and everytime I went to replace it that model was the cheapest I could find. I think I might have 500-600 in fuel fills in all my high tides. Also of note, I have to say the self vented fuel fills suck shitty donkey balls in overall performance.
