    Default Dove field herbicide help

I plan to plant sunflowers and corn, is there a preemergent or a combination of preemergents I can use for both? I dont want to apply one that is ok for corn but not sunflowers and vide versa.

    Any help is appreciated

No broadleaf control in the corn. Could tank mix Atrazine for the corn.

I used Metolachlor, atrazine and glypho for my corn. I'll probably use the same thing minus the atrazine on the sunflowers. I'll hit the corn with more glypho when it gets up and Cadre on the Clearfield sunflowers.

We use dual as a pre emerge and roundup/atrazine as a post emergent and always have clean corn . Sometimes we will use prowl and spartan as a pre emerge , but the dual magnum seems to do a better job for us .

    DualMag and Atrazine for corn....
    Prowl and spartan for flowers....
We quit using dual for flower pre-emerg.....

A few years ago, we got some big rains after planting and no germ.
Planted three times before we got a decent stand.
Anyway, it was determined that it "could have potentially been" the DM moving though the sandy soil.
The heavy rains carried it to lower spots in the field causing bad germ.
This determination was made by discussing with others more knowledgeable about herbicides than just our own guess at what happened.
    Proceed with caution.....
