    Default Palm Beach Fishing

Taking a friends boat to palm beach for a couple of days in mid may. Mostly planning to troll to target dolphin, blackfins and wahoo. Plan to live bait and bottom fish some, but the guys I’m going with really just wanna troll targeting meat fish. Any secrets or advice on the area? Our first time down there. Thanks in advance.

Ask around at tackle shops when you arrive. See whats biting. Look for birds or debris floating amd be ready with spin setups and live bait if possible but not necessary. Sharks and bonitas are rampant. Cudas can be passed by going deep rather quickly. Bottom fishing, get numbers or find structure. People do well at times high speeding for wahoo but that requires unique setups. Good luck, have fun, be careful in the inlets, and let us know how it goes. I have always found SC trolling to be superior.

Same way you do it here, just closer to the beach and on the right day, more species and more action

Yeah we are gonna keep it simple and just do what we know. Not gonna mess with kites and all that jazz. I’ll keep y’all posted on how it goes.

I know the slips at the port are full of sharks. We used to go in there & divers(commercial) wouldn’t get in the water cause the sharks are so bad.
