Another KRT/Mechanic Question
Steering wheel of my 2007 Dodge Ram locks up more and more frequently after turning the truck off and then trying to crank it up. This is happening now even with wheels turned very slightly when I turn the truck off. I now have to make sure front tires are perfectly straight before turning it off. I cannot turn the key without either wiggling the steering wheel, and sometimes I have to turn the steering wheel hard to get the key to turn. Steering seems fine when cranked and driving. Any ideas on the cause and what needs to be done to get it fixed?

Try the spare key. Your key might be wore out.

As wdhigh stated, try another key for shits and giggles. If you have one, great. If not it doesn’t hurt to have 2 and it will be inexpensive.
However when the key is worn out, most likely the tumblers inside the ignition cyl are as worn out. Worse case you will need a new ignition cyl, possible steering lock housing and a key.
More fuel = more boost!!
