The road of life is paved with squirrels that couldn't make a decision.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

There are a lot of critters I would not like to tangle with. Bobcats are on the top of that list.

Not many critters in these parts tougher than a bobcat or a "bo" coon.

Had a close encounter with one while taking out my trash out a couple years ago. We both turned the corner of my house coming from opposite directions. If had known he was coming I could have punted him. Had a little stare down and a mutual decision to go our separate ways.

We had one up the tree a few years back, every redneck fiber of my being wanted to see a fight between it and the dog.
I thought about it long and hard and then decided I didnt want to pay for a vet Bill to stitch up a hound so I knocked him out dead.

There wouldn't have been much fight if it was just one dog.

    It was Jake.

In all honesty the cat wasn’t that big. The end result would have been a dead bobcat and a real cut-up cur dog.
