I probably couldn't afford a cheeseburger at the club house. Not much on golf anyways though. Which is good, it looks expensive and time-consuming.

I’d like to fish the ponds on Augusta more than I would like to play it.

The food for fans is actually dirt cheap. I doubt I'd have fun playing, but going to the tournament is a cool experience.

I have been there many times but never played it. My brother has played it with his better half’s family more times than I can count.

Any idea what a membership costs? I'll bet it's rather expensive and a waiting list.

My high end guess would be $300K initiation and $30K per year and invitation only.

You have to be asked to join.

Memberships are invitation only. If you ever think of asking you never will.

Initiation fees are less than $50k. Yearly dues are less than that.

I know a couple members. You get recruited there. You don’t ask to join

Dues aren’t expensive but you get put on a committee and there is no budget for whatever the committee is tasked with. The committee just pays it. Martha Burke making a scene right outside the front gate? Well we’re going to form a committee and that committee will buy all of the land outside the gate so Martha Burke now has to be a mile away to legally make a scene.

Money is no object to this membership. Our sponsors don’t like our politics and are dropping their sponsorship? That’s cool, we’ll fund it ourselves and broadcast the tournament without commercials. It’s a whole nother league

Yep, IF you ask to join that pretty much keeps you out

Membership is fairly inexpensive from what you would expect. Initiation fee some where between $20-40K and my understanding is less than $4K per year You get to play from Oct-May I think, naturally no playing prior to the Masters.

If I am correct Lou “Granny Clampett” Holtz is a member

The National has what Augustans refer to as “fuck you money”.

If you’re ever there and notice the two houses near the Publix that are oddly in the middle of their parking lot; the National has offered that guy 2million for each house so that they can completely own that road. He said to kick rocks and to be honest good for him. That entire parking lot used to be a neighborhood of around 100 houses. Each house was bought for an average of 500-750k

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
