All this talk about straight razors has reignited my desire to learn to use a straight razor. Anyone ever ventured in that direction. Is it worth it over a safety razor. I can’t get more than 3-4 shaves out of a drugstore razor Gillette you name it. My face must be the most sensitive skin on the planet.

My advice is to try the safety razor first. The learning curve is much steeper with a "cutthroat" razor.

Safety razors ain’t expensive or fancy. A razor cost $20 or less. Less than a gillette refill. Or you can spend a lot. You can get blades for as little as a nickel and shave all week with it.

America got hoodwinked in the 90’s. The multiblade cartridge razor is a solution looking for a problem.

My complexion is a lot better without the ingrown hairs from using a 6-bladed POS.
