Default Will MLB Commissioner cancel membership at Augusta National?

Woketardness being called out. Love it!

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) wrote a letter asking Major League Baseball (MLB) Commissioner Rob Manfred to “relinquish his personal membership at Georgia’s Augusta National Golf Club” after MLB’s boycott of Georgia over their new voter ID laws.

“I am under no illusion that Major League Baseball will sacrifice business revenue on behalf of its alleged corporate values,” Rubio said. “Similarly, I am under no illusion you intend to resign as a member from Augusta National Golf Club. To do so would require a personal sacrifice, as opposed to the woke corporate virtue signaling of moving the All Star Game from Atlanta.”

“Taking the All-Star game out of Georgia is an easy way to signal virtues without significant financial fallout. But speaking out against the Chinese Communist Party would involve a significant loss of revenue and being closed out of a lucrative market.” Rubio concluded.

Rubio’s request comes amid reports Atlanta’s businesses will lose millions of dollars from the boycott. Tudy Rodney, a black business owner, called MLB’s decision “crushing.”

“We are trying to build back from a pandemic that happened last year, and something like this is not good for business,” Rodney told Fox 5 WAGA.

The economic impact may fall somewhere between $37 million and $190 million. “Some dispute the high-end of those projections, it’s safe to say the city – especially lower-wage workers who would have worked the event – would have benefited greatly,” Breitbart News reported.

The announcement of MLB’s relocation came Friday after President Joe Biden “strongly” supported the move during an interview with ESPN aired on Wednesday’s SportsCenter. Biden also said, “today’s professional athletes are acting incredibly responsibly” in relation to leagues such as the NBA.
Biden did not mention if Commissioner Manfred should relinquish his Augusta National membership in light of his All-Star Game position.

I think Rubio can screw up things but he is right here.

And I know they consulted with a black players organization, something like 130 members. Did they consult with a white players organization? Did they even read the law?

It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

This should never be about race IMO, but since MLB made it about race the silence of the white players is astounding. Quite simply put, they're a bunch of cowards.

Augusta National could remedy his “reluctance” if they had a set. But alas, they relenquished those years ago.

They’ll never speak up. The media would lambaste them, no matter how reasonable their comments. And then the screaming mob of white woke soy boy beta cucks would protest outside their homes.

It will be funny when central american descendents pass both the woke and blacks in voting and earning power one day. It won’t be a matter of white supremacy whatsoever. Then, voter integrity will suddenly matter and it will be too late.

NAACP left South Carolina because of the flag stating, "They could not do business in SC while the flag remained atop the Statehouse." The state lost the opportunity for NCAA Regionals, and almost got sectionals taken from USC Baseball because of it. Since it has been removed, none of those organizations have rewarded the state for its progressiveness with the flag, female governor, etc. The woke police only know one direction.

One of my favorite things from the flag and the NAACP was when The State newspaper asked Sen. Arthur Ravenel what he thought of the NAACP's decision to leave the state over the flag his response was, and I quote, "Can we get that in writing?"

    Oh Arthur...

Augusta National should just revoke Mr. Manfred's membership privileges. It is a PRIVATE club. Screw that guy.

He should cancel his membership because golf is dumb. No other reason, woke or otherwise, is needed.
