    Default serial number

My son had his shotgun stolen yesterday. It was a gift from me 8-9 years ago. He doesn't have the serial number and I can't find the sales receipt. Is there a way to access the FFL data base to get the serial number? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Not supposed to be able to do that. Did you ever have any work done on the gun. If so, you could contact the shop that did the work to get the serial number.

The dealer you purchased it from should have a record of the serial number.

Let this be a public service announcement to document your serial numbers.

Hope y'all track down the number.

Yep. I'd like to have a nickel for every time I told him to record the serial numbers on his guns. I'd also like to have a nickel for every time I told him don't leave a gun in your truck.

Do you have any photos that might show the serial number?
