are you thinking Kirkwood common area? I grew up on Mill, I've fished every small stream, private pond, or mud puddle in town.. or played man hunt through them.
There is a spot on polo lane more on the toward Green St. end on the polo-field side that has something similar to that...Used to be grown up in vines all around the entrance...a cave/room.

Tell me more about the history of your property. I was invited several times to hunt from Will when we attended Winthrop many years ago.

There's a lot behind it, better pics and info, but I'm in haste

There's not a whole lot, I didn't house anything. The first real bridge over the river in our area went through it. I know where that lies, some cool old structures, it's kinda on the edge of a bunch of things. The old fort, the old original design of downtown.

Any ideas what this might be (besides a rock)? Maybe two feet across, on a ridge in the mountains, not really close to anything.

    Aliens.

A lot of ridges in the wilderness of the mountains were once small corn fields. Could be plow marks from such activity. It is not uncommon to find rock piles on ground you would swear never saw a plow...

Salvaged an otherwise fruitless opening day..

One of my favorite finds, from a mountain top in mexico. Stuck out like a sore thumb in the red rock.

Ha this ain’t mine I’m an indoor kinda guy. I have found a few grow sites wondering around trout streams, usually when I stumble upon one I just back out quickly and go about my business.
