Yup. That “spade” 9 sider likely snapped when they were basal thinning or when it was dropped or when they rammed it into some unfortunate beast. Instead of reworking the whole point, they just did what they did and used it for something else. Would have liked to have seen it’s full length before it snapped.

Correct WNM, all of those points were found in or around water and are stained. I thought about cleaning one of them up but decided to leave them as they were when I found them.

Saw this off Bethera Rd in Francis Marion National Forest today. Not sure if someone died here or maybe it was his favorite hunting spot. 20211024_101900.jpg

i found some tiny little clear bottles (5 or 7 of them) with a metal seal type crimped cap while hunting Dare County
    in NE corner of NC.
Later learned they were morphine bottles from the Civil War and site was an old hospital from the 1800's
Probably was 35 years ago.......gave one or two away, others have vanished over time.

If you give 10 people a bag of gold, someone will complain about how heavy it is!

Found on a ridge in Pickens county. Looks to me to be some sort of skinning tool.

Found this around an old homeplace back during squirrel season. As soon as I get my wood stove installed it’s going to reside on top of it for decoration

Found this today. Old milk bottle I’m guessing. Stamped with Duraglas on the bottom and labeled one quart liquid.

Found a still in Fairfield county. There was a spring there that had an eight inch terracotta pipe embedded at the spring head so it stayed full of clean spring water.
