    Default New Pants

At kickoff yesterday, I blew out the crotch of my favorite pair of warm weather pants jumping a canal. Beyond repair and are more chaps than pants now.

Gamehide brand. Been wearing them for 10-15 years...hem is frayed, several patches and there have been so many bloody turkeys over my shoulder the seat of my pants are discolored. Deep pockets, and pockets for days. I will be holding a memorial service to pay respects and will provide details later.

I'm looking for a new set.

The two I am looking at now are Ol'Tom and the Heybo's with the Ol'Toms in the lead. Nomad are out because I recall their pockets being shallow as hell. I cant find any details on the oltom pockets.

Am I missing any? My prereqs are deep pockets and lots of them. Shallow pockets are a guarantee to lose everything in them...

I broke down today and ordered a new pair of mossy oak off amazon. I keep all my stuff in my vest rather than my pants, wallet included. I actually miss wearing overalls for turkey. One of these days im going to find me some new ones. RIP to you britches. Good ones are hard to find.

I don’t know what the name of them are, but I picked up a pair of green wrangler cargo pants to hunt in when I destroyed another brand of pants, and needed them quick at Walmart. I wore them 4 or 5 times hunting and loved them. I think I have 3 pair in rotation now and 2 or 3 pair stored for when I rip the current ones.

If you can find a pair of the older basic mossy pal pants that had the adjustable waist band straps and cargo pockets let me know. I had to throw a pair away this year and have been missing them. When it wasn’t Turkey season I’d wear them around the house, they were like wearing scrubs.

the nomad stretch lite pants are head and shoulders the best warm weather turkey pant I have ever worn. They have deep pockets, which is also a necessity for me. They are stupid comfortable and cool.

Oh- And they arent cotton so they wont fade out after 3 washes.

I stuck my hands in every pair of Nomads I can find on the racks and those arent deep pockets unless I havent found a stretch lite on the racks. Tried on the ol'tom and damn theyre thin. Like catch every briar in the county thin. I am sure they're cool though.

I looked for the walmart version on line. Cant find anything with those search parameters. Not walking in, especially to the clothing section. I'd rather shit my pants in church.
