Hunted a creek in MD off the Potomac for their opener of the final split for 7 mixed bag limits.
Greenheads, Redheads, Pintail, Teal, Widgeon, Gadwall, Bluebills and Ringnecks. Pics will follow.

A good morning in spite of breaking the throttle cables, drowning the e-collar remote and backing over my thermos.

Boondoogle, you above or below the Potomac River Bridge? I'm assuming above with that bag...Just curious, my pops is on the lower Potomac around St. George's Creek..pretty sure they're waiting on the Cans...

Were most places frozen up there other than creeks?

These are part of the ducks and I forgot about the bootlip that made one too many pass.

We are way above the 301 bridge. In fact, we were within 15 minutes of the Woodrow Wilson bridge. I took the Capital Beltway to get to the launch.

We were covered up with Cans this morning but we have to wait 2 more weeks. If the weather continues like we have had as of late, y'all need to get ready because ice is gonna be an issue here.

Nice Boondoggle, yeah I was planning on heading up to MD in late January, but may have to go for late December instead...It's wierd how you never see puddlers in St. Mary's county, you get a few Mallards and woodies, a decent # of Black ducks, but I've never seen teal or pintails, or any large groups of mallards, most seem to be local birds...Keep us posted on how y'all do...

Boondoggle, We are rolling out Sun. the 18th for a 4 day hunt up in North East MD. My buddy up there says he has a ton of new ducks in the area. Can't hardly wait!!

I have hunted on the DelMarVa peninsula before near Easton, MD and was considering heading up there again. Any word on that area? Mostly divers? Anyone know.
