I’m using the same hooks, but I still size the hook to my bait, I doubt it makes a difference but it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The leader material is typically 16 to 18 inches of fluo or mono that attach to my braid with a uni to uni. Plus I like to keep some on the noodle ready to go so that I’m not lazy when my leader line gets frayed on whatever structure I’m fishing.
A fish bites 2 times a day, right before I get to the water, and as soon as my boat gets back on the trailer.
2 ideas come to mind, the first is to find/make one of the old tarpon fly leader stretchers to use
The other is to put a small set screw or similar on your grab bar, tie a quick perfection loop at the end of your leaders, place the loop on the screw, pull tight and secure the hook into the noodle. Your leaders should be held in place parallel to the bar.
I tie a ton of leaders (some people can't stay off oysters etc.) and just keep the spools around a rod holder on the console so I can quickly pull off what I need and tie a hook on with a quick snell.

Something about a motor moving my fishing rods across/over static objects that makes my eye twitch.
That said, I need to put my rod racks up in my camper shell and organize the 6 different tackle bags I have.

Nothing much, just a few LPs for HST wahoo with separate spools for DD and Daytime Swording.
I did recently get a new flounder rod that I am pretty pumped up about.
