    Default Islie of Palms ??

I have some family that's going to stay in Isle of Palms for a night on their trip from Minnesota and I figured since I haven't seen them in years I'd drive down for the evening and get dinner. Any recommendations? Main focus would be on seafood and maybe steak.

The Long Island café looks good online?

ACME is always good. Long Island Cafe is as well. The Boathouse for sunset views. The wife recently ate at Coastal Provisions in Wild Dunes and gave it high praise.

Since they're from Minnesota, I'm hoping they have a bad experience to talk about when they get home. Tell them to try the Crab House of 17 just north of the IOP connector. Then again, I think that place only survived because non-coastal people from the frozen north were their main clientele, so they might actually like it.

I think where you are talking about is now SOL. Crab house did just open at the old shem creek bar and grill though.

Bemidji. The elders were all from SC and settled in MN and IA after retiring from the military. The ones visiting are cousins my age. I don't think they have any intentions on moving here. I do have a cousin in Iowa that's trying to get here, but he's about as conservative as we are. That's actually why he wants to leave Iowa, but like I've told him, SC isn't all that much better now a days.
