    Default Custom Gunfitting/Wood Porn

Guys, I had the pleasure of traveling to Racine Wisconsin to go through a custom gunfitting at the Kolar Arms factory back in December. I also got a new set of barrels I had been working with them to build for me. These are 34 inch light weight barrels, which is a 1st for them. I received the gun 2 weeks ago and have been shooting the piss out of it since then to try and get used to it. I was absolutely blown away by the experience. I literally spent an entire day going through the entire process. A lot of effort went into getting the grip properly sculpted to fit my trigger hand perfectly. I also have an extra long forend to accommodate my long arms. Here are some pictures from the beginning to the end. The wood I selected is unbelievable. I am very pleased with the final outcome.

    Beautiful gun.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Wow that’s awesome. Beautiful gun and you did a good job on the wood selection.

I watched Jim Greenwood cut one one time and it truly is an art. His skill on a band saw was the coolest thing ever for me to watch

That’s amazing, do you know what kind of finish that is on the finished stocks?

I have not weighed it but I would guess around 9 pounds.

I have no idea. I didn't ask. It's sprayed on with the exception of the checkering. They apply an oil finish to the checkering.

It's a dedicated sporting clays gun.
