Bermuda sod experts??

We had some trees removed in back yard last winter and this summer I put down a few pallets of bermuda sod , also helped my son put some down as well at his house late summer.

I keep hearing about “pre emergent” for bermuda and also some sprigs of weeds/grass coming up in few areas

What do I need to do right now Saw something on youtube and said weed killer will not hurt dormant bermuda but little skeptical about doing that

Figured somebody on here has lot more experience with it in our part of the US than what I can read online
