    Default Tiller handle distance

I am rebuilding a 1756 g3 to accomodate a new 60 hp outboard tiller steer ( not yet purchased ). I am finishing up the metal work and can't decide the distance I need between the seat and the transom ( I may cut the rear deck in a "v" to make it more comfortable). Anyone have a similar boat they could measure? Thanks

I would try and mock it up as best you could. Sit on a bucket and reach back and see what feels comfortable. I made my console and steering wheel out of carboard before I built them to check spacing/clearances on everything.

Let BigBrother make you a sliding bench out of his left over channel from his bed cover rack track thingy.
