    Default Aluminum Track sourcing

I need to find 160” or so of some heavy aluminum track that will accommodate these feet:

Look at Eastern metal supply online and look through there extrusions.
Cheap way to make that if they don’t have it is to figure out how wide and high you need it, buy box tube that size and run it on a table saw down the middle and rip out the center

If its going to be supported maybe look at UHMW extrusions, would probably slide better and not wear out. For instance

I am torn between cutting off the feet and putting something to bolt through, or add track so I can adjust as needed front to back. It will go on a camper shell and tote pirogues and maybe a rod tube.

If only you had an old school bus full of stuff.....

There would probably be what you are looking for in that bus.

Cut feet and weld flanges to bolt down. Why do you need it to slide?

I dont really need it to slide. Just thought it would be a nice option. Through bolting was my first thought, but I am really good at overthinking shit.

I know where an old school bus is in the woods. As soon as the river falls, I will go rummage through.

I dont see any square tubing that has enough stock to make me feel good about strapping a couple grand worth of pirogues to it.

Think my first thought was the best thought. Thru bolt with lot of backing plate.

1/4" or 3/8" nothing too heavy, but what ever I can get my hands on for reasonable.

Look at 8020.net. They have all kinds of fasteners and tracks that you could probably make a sliding removable track with. Not too bad on price either.

Badass. That's a good tip. I thought about reaching out to our other buddy who's made me specialty stuff too.
