Default Welcome New Sponsor- Charleston UC

Please welcome new Sponsor Charleston Upper Cervical Chiropractic! Long time member Will Youngblood (DrWilly) has graciously offered to help support SCDUCKS and our Members with 25 years of expertise.

    Greetings SCDuckers,

Glad to be a sponsor here. Have enjoyed the site for many years. No better place to find expertise in any area needed. Haha.

Reading comments and participating in a thread on here a few weeks ago about someone seeking a Chiropractor made me realize how much misinformation and misconceptions exist about Chiropractic. My hope is that I can add some content and answer some questions that might clear things up for people. I think there may be many people here that could be helped by Chiropractic care who do not go either because they donít know about it or have bad information about it.

Iíve been in practice 25 years so Iím familiar with the knocks on it. Iím glad to dialogue and explain things. My way or style is not the only way but I can talk about why I choose to do it how I do it. Over the years, Iíve seen that most of the misinformation is because it isnít understood properly. Either by being presented poorly or wrongly by the presenter or by not being understood by the hearer or both.

Hopefully I can start a thread or two addressing some common topics that need discussing. Feel free to jump in or message me privately.

    Sincerely,

    Will Youngblood DC, UCA

I was always somewhat of a non believer. Started having a somewhat chronic back issue that I attribute to working long hours from a kitchen table at home during covid stuff. Was trying stretching, strength exercise, nsaids, etc. could not get the pain to go away. Finally said screw it Im trying a chiro. Within weeks my pain was completely resolved. I also suffer from chronic neck pain due to a bad car wreck (hairline fracture C2, bulging discs, was in a C collar for 3 months). I had no intentions of letting chiro touch my neck. Decided to go in for imaging to see if it would be deemed okay to get neck adjusted. Got the green light, reluctantly started getting neck adjustments. My neck had hurt for seven or so years and I just accepted that as my post wreck normal. After working with chiro it is now also pain free! Now I just go once a month for maintenance and I always feel better afterward.

So is a doctor of Chiropractic more or less impressive than a doctor of dental or a doctor of veterinary medicine?

Just trying to keep the hierarchy straight.

    Oh yeah, welcome and thanks.

    It goes like this...

Dude who googled something on webmd, then essential oils, then plexus "distributor", THEN back crackers, vets and finally angry tooth brushers.
