Thanks. If speaker Jay Lucas kills he will have a primary challenger and lose. Let him and your rep know.

The bill deals with open carry with CWP training.

The dilemma is what happens when there is an amendment to constitutional carry?

The conservatives have the Rinos over a barrel. If they block this bill they have to own being anti-2nd.

I would like to know the 16 members that raised their hand in caucus and those that did as the Speaker expected.

    I raised my hand.

The house passed constitutional concealed carry with no permit or training required in 2017.

The senate passed full constitutional carry last year.

Interesting that Bamberg submitted an amendment that I believe would have made it illegal for the police to stop you just because you were open carrying. It of course was shot down. Can't have freedom.

Seeing a floor vote of RInos opposed to constitutional carry would be grand.

He is barely surviving re-election in a Trump won district. I believe he is pro gun but some of his amendments are meant to ridicule our movement. Democrats are in complete disarray in Columbia. They are searching for amendments to put republicans in difficult positions.

For example; Republicans in soft districts that barely win in a general election are forced to vote on more conservative issues like full constitutional carry or abortion without exceptions. Charleston, Richland, and York county Republican house members are vulnerable.

With general election voters constitutional carry is polling around 30%. With republicans 45%. That spells danger for a general election. In a primary all republicans are in danger when not voting for any gun bill.

The open carry is polling at 70% because of training. That becomes an easy vote.

The poll questions are misleading. Change the wording and results change.

Will any of this ever see the light of day in King Leatherman’s Senate?

Yes, Shane Massey is running for governor he needs CC and pro gun to campaign on. There was a red wave in November the votes are there on both sides. The Democrat amendments were fine. The Sheriff Association is neutral now with SLED opposing in the name of safety and to hell with freedom.

The bill will come around again Tuesday. Of they have five members vote for debates it moved to end of the list. If so those 5 need need to go in their next primary.

He has a right to earn a living and his constituents seem to like him. At the same time, he is a right strong supporter of the Second Amendment. It will be interesting to see how he votes here.

Another democrat that is a strong supporter of 2A legislation is Todd Rutherford. I have been told that he has suggested that the democrats give up on anti 2A control and go for the bad guys.
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.
