Default 1.9 trillion "covid relief bill" passes 219-210

No republicans voted for it and 2 dems voted against it. 9% of it actually has anything to do with covid. Passed in the middle of the night

There is still a trillion from last year’s stimulus that hasn’t been spent. Makes no sense.

That trillion will be run through the ringer until it’s a squeaky clean contribution to the DNC.

Paying off black and hispanic farmers loans at a rate of 120%. Yes, a 20% cash bonus on top of the payoff.

Not a great plan but you have to look at it like the old theory of "Reganomics" or trickle down economics . You give people money and encourage them to spend it which most will In turn income is up at retail locations so their income is up, pay more in sales tax, employees and goods and servcies which in turn becomes taxable revenue back to the Govt

About like a Casino, in the end they get a lot of it back

Plus I look at it this way, hell if we gonna give trillions away keep it within the confines of the USA so everyone benefits instead of some third world company that is of no use to us other than POS politicians with "foreign interests"

Not really how economics work bud. Printing more money to hand out does not help the situation. Best believe those that are passing these bills are benefiting from them greatly with the fluff and "foreign aid". In another words.... Here is some of your money and shut up while we take the rest and "help" these "helpless" countries...... Oh wait my son in law builds those he somehow got a contract.... Then blame here comes more taxes.....

If you want to see actual improvement..... Let the free market work and open things up and decrease the amount of taxes give incentives to those willing to risk and create... That will drive jobs instead of the false jump from people recklessly spending printed money.... Get ready for the here is money for money sake... Crazy inflation and more taxes in the name of charity....

Oh I agree with you 100%, not a good “business plan” but when did that every stop the folks in Washington

Biggest problem I see is people starting to depend on it or expect it , don’t care who they voted for

Honestly feels for our kids/grandkids that will inherit this mess one day

Mark this down, IF the price of gas shoots back up to $4 gallon the house of cards will come down again like it did back in 2008-2010 but ups and downs are life

I am always simple minded but seems the price of a gallon of gas really dictates how everything is going, take away the average joe’s spending money and it is disaster .

You are spot on, so much crap in these stimulus packages it would make you sick but that is the way Washington has always operated. or at least in my lifetime Not sure how we ever break that cycle

Just saw an article that the republicans tried to change things up at the last minute before this thing passed in the house.. Said that they wanted to ditched all the foreign aid, aid to the states that have sucked and ran all there budgets into the ground, and increased the stimulus check to $10,000 per person and kept some money for schools and business but the dems didn't want that...... Granted I would prefer no bill at all.
