    Her mother is slick with almost no furnishings, the sire looks like a wire hair.

    They are a neat breed. I'm enjoying my pup. The furnishings can develop later in life 6-12 months. My pup is the same (slick mom and hairy dad) and he's slick with limited furnishings. You're in a good area for training. NAVHDA is active in your area.
