    Default Traile brake controllers

Someone school me on these - what to look for, what to avoid, etc. I've always had ones that were factory installed, now need to get one for an Infiniti QX80. I'm looking at Reese as they have a vehicle specific plug & play harness, not sure which controller to get. Trailer is a 20ft dual axle flatbed car hauler w/ brakes on 1 axle. Thanks!

Tekonsha P3, plug and play and the best on the market in my opinion.

I have a few different brands plus factory- most of the add ons have no real difference except for number of settings, if Reese has a plug and play it will be fine, I have a Reese that was on a dually when bought it and never had a problem with it. I stop is a good brand and make plug n use for most vehicles- might be less expensive.

Will you be using spring bars and an equalizing hitch? It really helps control the load and when set correctly will allow you to tow level without sag- I use them every single time I move my heavy equipment- 100x better towing experience and control.
