    Default Beaver Problem

Just left my buddy's house here in Ballentine, he has a serious beaver problem around a field/stream
behind his house. He asked me if I knew anyone that would like to trap them.
I think he means trapping them for fun, aka "for free"
If interested, just let me know
    Thanks

I'll give it a sit with my 22 mag.

A few 330’s and he’d be ok by himself doing it.

Tell him if he ends up going the “professional” route and paying someone that advertises the service that it’s expensive as shit.

My folks pond has a problem, they were quoted almost 5k for 7 days of set/checked traps.

    They are heeding kquinns advice

Yea, last price I heard was $500 to come out and setup $125 per caught beaver.

He needs to learn to do it himself if he wants to get it for free. I won’t touch a beaver job without money involved. That’s as time consuming and aggravating as it comes.

Tell him to just go out at night and shoot them.

That’ll thin out a few.....but not the main problem.

Between the beavers, muskrats and transient otters- it’s a full time job at my place.
My Neighbor mentioned that they give off a scent that attracts other beavers and I believe it! As soon as we shoot a few, they go into hiding and become very sneaky.
I’ve yet to be rodent free for the last 3 years at my place.

I have a buddy that is on a Bomb Squad. For “training” they have been known to come out and blow beaver dams.

5k is ridiculous. Expect to pay 1000-1500/week. You will have to call them back next yr.
