    Default Question about green beans...

I am used to growing and eating a traditional green bean. What variety of green bean are the wide flat types? Do folks ever prepar and eat immature lima's as a whole bean?

Better check his views on fluoride first.
Romanos make a fairly wide flat bean when young. Look also into broad beans.

I've eaten what i call green beans...that is they are the whole bean...and they are flat, maybe a half inch wide and they are cut in sections of 1-2 inches.

I plant bush beans every year. Blue Lake and Early Contender are my favorites, those are what i consider a traditional green bean.

what variety are the flat beans that folks cook and eat whole?

Close thread. The best. And if you want peas, get you some white acres like the ones my gardener just dropped off to me.
