    Default First signs

When I left for work Friday, I noticed the Maple tree in the front yard was starting to get buds. Then the first pissing match broke out in the turkey forum. Yesterday two of the golf course geese that hang out at the plant were in mortal combat when I was leaving work. It won't be long now.

Agreed. With the mudslinging and whatnot that flared up, the season must be drawing near. Keen observation sir.

I took a couple literature classes down to the community college in town this winter so I could write me some turkey poetry this spring.

I heard a young gobbler on the hill, yo!
I chased him around all season, bo.
He made me look like a fool and act like a tool
So my boyfriend and I named him Dildo.

    Is gobbling in February rare?

They gobble at my duck calls in January on the lake.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
