I ordered the aero and the cruzr XC. I like the cruzer better. Both are super nice, but the XC is a damn nice unit.

You gotta "run" one before it become accepted nomenclature.

Whats the advantage over a climber or lock on? it looks like about a much gear to haul in to the woods. Sticks, platform??? New fad or legit advantage?

It’s versatility on tree selection is a huge advantage. I carry my saddle and a single stick. That’s it. Not even close to half of what I carried when I was hanging a lock on or using a climber. It may be a new fad but I’ll never use a climber or lock on again.

I take a fair amount of kids hunting. A few of them have expressed interest in trying it with the bow. I have a pile of prehung lockons, so my thought is to have the youth sit in the stand, then I can hang in the saddle beside/behind them and coach. Seems easier to “wear your stand in” than to carry a second lockon to strap to the tree beside them. One huge advantage I can see just from fiddlin’ with in the yard is these would be the ticket for a place with less than ideal trees.

Very much so on both accounts.

And as for “less than ideal trees” just remember that gravity always wins so take that into account when you climb and set up.

I hunted out of a willow tree with 7 trunks and none of them were remotely straight. I used my lineman’s rope as a second tether and hooked it to the lineman’s loop to hold me I place. Very comfortable.

This is my setup. I really like it. This saddle thing is legit.

There’s absolutely nothing about that picture that makes me think it is more simple than a Summit climber

I pick the tree and your summit wont be able to climb it. Your tree selection is limited by your climber.

I never said it doesn’t have an advantage, I just said it doesn’t seem simpler.

    There’s a difference

Biggest advantage to me is being able to put the tree between you and the animal. I have a set of sticks that I use for mobile hunts but setting up multiple sets on your preferred trees makes it a breeze.

You will need a strong tree selfie game.

    Yeah man.

Cruzr XC, with a DIY adjustable bridge, and a couple pouches.
3 Muddy Pro sticks with an Out On A Limb Scout Platform and 3 wire rope aiders from Eastern Woods Outdoor.

It's stupid easy, fast, quite, and comfortable.
