    Default Boss shot shells

Who around here has been shooting these things?

I heard about them from a friend and wound up ordering 200 rounds. They sent them in bulk with a couple empty shell boxes and a cloth sack big enough to tote a few rounds in.

    Testimonials have been good.

Off to the patterning board I guess...

I bought some in 3" #4's for ducks and was happy with the results. Absolutely no issues with the shells. I'll likely buy more in the future.

I never had time to pattern them but I used a Briley Light Full choke and it did well in the field.

I bought some in .410. Had problems with the primers falling out. Called them about it and they refunded my money and told me to keep the shells. The lady told me that they were having this problem when they are shot out a Tristar. Excellent customer service!

I shot some of the 12ga shorty #5's this year as well as the 20ga 3/5's. Obviously they are more expensive than steel, but effective.

One hunt that comes to mind is an afternoon canvasback shoot this past season. A few of the guys shooting regular steel in our group were having to swat cripples on the water sometimes 3-4 times. A canvasback is a tough bird but it didn't take that much with the Boss shells. They hit hard and with no more than I shoot in a season I think I'll continue to shoot them.

Shot them for the first time this year and love them. Shot the 3" #5 in both my 12 and 20 gauge. No issues at all! They also offer military discount and if you can get enough people, you can order them by the pallet for 18% off retail price (100 cases).

Shot them in my 20ga the last two seasons. 3” 5s. Good stuff. FYI when patterning bismuth likes tight. Shooting a light full out of mine.

20ga 3” #5s all year. They work and worth the money. Ordered mine last July, and likely will have to order earlier this year

They have a few fiber wad lower pressure loads for 16ga and 12ga also. I ordered some 16ga 1 oz loads in #5. Did not get to try them this year. Should work well in a full choke Model 12.

You will have to call them as they are not listed on their website.

Solid advice. Just a complete waste of money.
