No sir didn't hunt out of anyone's blind. All public land and had to find the birds and get in there amongst them and do work.

Just curious, what did you shoot the hogs with? Would lead of any kind in the boat pose a problem while hunting waterfowl?

Not being a smart ass or judging btw...great killing

Yes sir you are right it was the northern part of the state. My oldest nephew likes to be the camp cook. He plans out our meals the week before. We had bacon wrapped deer tenderloin pork tenderloins duck poppers duck and rice fried catfish right out of the hoop nets duck soup grilled elk burgers deep fried turkey and elk nuggets grilled chicken there's not much that we didn't eat.

We shot them with 22 magnums. It's pretty easy when you get them hemmed up on a levee surrounded by water with nowhere to go. We would hunt them in the evenings after our duck hunts to insure no shotguns or ammunition issues.

I'd take them pigs over the ducks any day! Heck of a trip right there! We had a hog drought this year down our way, I'm guessing our pigs went for a swim.
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

    The Shermanator hunts ducks?
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
