Default April or may float trip

So I’m going to take my 9 and 6 year old on a 1 or 2 night canoe float trip on the full moon of April or May. Nothing strenuous, gonna be targeting bream on the bed. What’s the best looking scenery y’all can think of for the trip?

Put in at Canadys and float the Edisto. I’ve done many a two-three day floats on that stretch of river and you won’t find a more beautiful mellow float in the Lowcountry IMO.

Google search canoing the Edisto River.
    Lots of options available.
Beautiful water, sandy bottom and large sand bars.
A couple of state parks, plenty of boat ramps below where it flows under I95.
    Also Google Edisto treehouse.

It's one of the things I miss the most when I lived in Summerville. A small boat and motor was the tits...

Another vote for the Edisto. Took several canoe trips down it while in the Boy Scouts and it’s by far one of my favorite memories.

The wife and I went from the state park all the way to edisto. Saw the ocean and went around the island. Then we went up river as far as the boat would go. 14' with a 25 on it. Back before the canoe people thought you can't be there. Very cool trip and did it way before GPS. Compass and a Map

I have done the Edisto Treehouses with the kids. I would go again. Highly recommended.

Yup. If you can outfit your canoe with gear to sleep on a sandbar you'll have a ton of places to choose from.

I would take into consideration being able to feed your kids the fish that they catch. Water quality is pretty important...

Little Pee Dee would fit the bill if you are roughing it in a tent.
