Remember the John Rocker scandal? Hammerin' Hank showed mercy to Rocker in private discussions. Instead of scolding him for the comments printed in that SI article, Mr. Aaron warned him about the media.

Hate to hear it. I wasn’t even a thought to my parents when he was playing ball, but still was always a favorite of mine growing up. He was a role model on the field and off it for everyone. He was healthy enough to get his Covid Vaccine about two weeks ago. Wonder if that played a role. I’ve heard it is messing up some senior citizens.

I remember the record breaking homer well- one of those things that sticks with you if you witnessed it. Our team had gathered together to watch the game as did many others back then. Baseball history.

I got a baseball signed by him. I remember the HR as well he hit. He was one of my hero's. Along with Mantle and a few more.

Always hated the Braves, but loved Hammer. I had 2 posters on my wall as a kid, Farrah and Hank’s 715.

Got an autograph from him, Dusty Baker and several other Braves back in the early 70s when there wouldn't be 3000 fans in the stands and you could go to the locker room door. Have watched a bunch of rain delay interviews with him and always come away thinking how humble he was.

I usually listen to Dan Patrick in the morning and they replayed his interview with Mr. Aaron from last year. An incredible ball player back when ball players looked like normal people, not like today's athletes.

    RIP to the King.
