how does ford's 10 speed automatic transmission hold up?

This was 10 months ago, but at the time I was advised against it by a few mechanic friends, I believe KRT didn’t have much good to say about it, either. No clue if they have it sorted out. So I bought a 2020 z71. In about another 10k miles I’ll make the trek from Charlotte to cola to have kevin put new tires on it and delete the trans thermostat GM thought was a brilliant idea.

There's a ford at that autoworks place that has the 10 speed transmission. I'm planning to go check it out here soon. I haven't heard anything good or bad about them really.

Have you had the AFM Delete done? AFM is Active Fuel Management. Will cause severe problems when a valve lifter fails. Killzone or KRT can perform the delete if you need it done. Higear

I haven't had that done yet. I replaced the valve cover a while back. It uses/burns about a quart of oil every 3,000 miles.
