Default Sometimes it ain’t about the birds!

We are out here right now enduring a low tide and making the best of it. We knew we were going to be stranded for a bit but really didn’t care. Jr is doing his best white trash redneck impression and my little Boykin has had a thorough baptizing in “real” duck hunting. It’s only her second hunt but she is coming along nicely and picking up birds as well as helping to find cripples in the grass.

In SC it seems that it’s rarely about the birds for those of us that still stick it out! The experience and being out in a place without the hustle and bustle is always worth it in my opinion! The birds are just an added bonus when they actually play along.

Does that mean you’re assuming we didn’t kill anything, as if we were back in SC???? LOL. Or maybe I just didn’t post up the bird pics!

We knocked down 14 and picked up 12. The tide washed one away so fast that we couldn’t get out of the muddy island we were in fast enough and lost track of it. Another went down into the small grass island we were in not ten feet in front of us never to be seen again!
