    Default Lots of work!!

With blue skies, warm temps, and zero wind it took us all day to get it done. Started out in a freshwater natural marsh club in an XFowler blind. The hope was for a cinnamon teal to get close enough to us for Jr to check one off the list. We only saw a pair of the little red birds from our floating blind but killed a few GWT and a nice pintail drake!

Around 10am we decided to pull the plug on that hunt. We knew the wigeon would be flying in the afternoon at my salt marsh blind and decided to head that way after grabbing some Jersey Mike’s for lunch. Didn’t take long to switch properties as they are only about 35min away from one another. Set out a pretty large spread of around A hundred and got down to start our afternoon. It was no barn burner but we had a number of birds that were ready and willing to come in and take a look! By the end of shooting time we had managed to scratch together a limit of one pintail, one gadwall, a pair of canvasbacks, four wigeon, and the rest GWT.

I’m beat and not young enough to pull those all day hunts with all that walking, paddling, and push poling!!! LOL
