    Default 1st Rides

Thought with the current political craziness we could use a little distraction, what was your 1st ride. At 16 years old mine was this 1967 Ford F100 I bought in 1979, cost me $1350 bucks, my dad paid for it and I paid him back $100 a month. It was a beast (as I remember) had a 352, with “3 on the tree” (younger guys will have to search the WWW to understand that) drank gas like pouring water out of a bucket, but I loved it. I added roll bar with Dick Cepek lights, rims and 33 inch tires that scrubbed a lot. Drove it like it was a 4WD. Had a few buddies that had other 2WD and we would mud ride almost every weekend. The good old days. Add yours if you have pictures or write it up- the good old days for sure.

Ha. Mine was a '68 Le Sabre...

A tank that always seemed to have a green crop of wheat or corn growing in the 200sqft trunk...

Loved that truck, it was black and I didn’t let a grain of sand get on it

1980 Datsun king cab 4wd, hand me down. I loved it until I totaled it in a collision with a cow.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

My first was a 96 Jeep Cherokee 4wd. A lot of memories in that one. Second was a gmc 93 long wheelbase. Gosh I miss those years.

1977 Jeep J10 long bed with a 258 straight 6 and 3-speed. It was no speed demon that’s for sure. My dad still has it and we use it regularly.

Smoked like a train if you wouldn’t let off the throttle to let it shift gears.
It looked like a fog machine when leaving high school everyday
