He would have been 92 in February. There have been a lot of young people that had their first exposure to hunting and killed their first deer under his watch. I think that giving people that opportunity really meant a lot to him.

Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
Mr. Burnside was a fine Southern Gentleman and will be greatly missed. I will always fondly remember his advice, wisdom and unmatched hospitality. My prayers are with the family.
