    His reputation preceded him.

He would have been 92 in February. There have been a lot of young people that had their first exposure to hunting and killed their first deer under his watch. I think that giving people that opportunity really meant a lot to him.

    Awful sorry to hear that.

    Great man indeed.

Go rest high on that mountain.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

My condolences to the family. He was a legend in my tiny little world. My dad admired him, and that's saying a lot....

Mr. Burnside was a fine Southern Gentleman and will be greatly missed. I will always fondly remember his advice, wisdom and unmatched hospitality. My prayers are with the family.

I would fall in that category. Got to spend a good bit of time down there as a kid and man I would like to go back and do it all over. Invaluable all around. One of the best there was.

That is a dang sweet place to have the run of. I haven't been in there since the hurricane matthew year, but it was always a great getaway. I hope there's an alpha like Mr. Marion that can step up and keep it all together and running like he did.
