I had a 96( the last year made) XL bought brand new- planned to drive it forever, rebuild as needed. Totaled with 50,000 miles on it- and I mean totaled- no chance of rebuilding or repair.

I drove a black 77 sport, the last year model made, built in December of 76. It was my primary vehicle for years.. then I had to grow up.

    So like a Bronco II?

This was my daily driver for several years. Sold it for something more practical 6 or 7 years ago, bought it back a year ago. Got lucky.

I don’t hate the new 4 door deals. Just different.

pretty paynej. Same, I tried to buy mine back, told the guy if he ever thought about it to call me first. He didn't, and fella drove by and offered him a bunch of cash. I wasn't making a ton of money, driving a decent amount into my old office, and was getting dollared to death with little things going on with it and gas. I had a four barrel on it, cam, headers, lift, a 302 that was pulled out of a mustang, and had problems keeping the transmission in.. it was an auto. Then trying to find another truck when it was sitting. The booger would catch second. I went through a couple shift kits trying to get it right. Finally I decided I needed to be mature.. and being caught in the 50th summer storm with no cover did it to me.

my sister drove a Bronco II through high school.. we had it as an extra car before then, I'd drive it to have good heat on occasions and when my yota had problems. I loathed that suv. It might have been cool if the side back glass slid or something. It was a some what top heavy, she flipped it down in the swamp one afternoon. That ended it.
