Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

What would the world be like if they took that same money, and purchased several hundred acres of oak bottom and flooded a green tree reservoir?

Better public hunting with minuscule annual maintenance.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

There’s a tract for sale within a mile of the Bluff Unit.

Buy and dike it Doc. I’ll make sure the riff raff stays out

Like how it says "for wetland restoration" which is the exact opposite of what it actually is....
Still, a good first step and i hope the funds get spent appropriately...

So I'm guessing they did research and decided the ducks in the rest of SC were doing fine?
