    Default Live bait in Myrtle

I have a little window of time this week and want to take the little man out for some inshore fun, going for numbers not size. The shop I used to go to closed down and I am going out of LR so I don't have time to go down to Murrells for bait. Why is it so hard to find live bait on the north end.

There used to be a guy off the beach on the north side.

Sells crickets and shit, but I seem to remember a tank with finger mullet.

Or, you can buy a cast net and forget about the bait man when you want to go fishing.

Got a buddy that kayak fishes, won’t even throw live or cut this time of year. His numbers have been insane the last two weeks on trout and reds throwing soft plastic and top water.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

If your talking about the shop by the swing bridge, he just sells frozen. I’ll try the net, we just have an hour or two really so I was trying to do a little cruising and hit some spots quickly. Not a real fishing trip, just an excuse to get on the water since it’s been so cold.

You sure about that? I don’t go there ever but when I have they said they only have frozen.

We actually got our second Starbucks so we are now kind of a big deal! Ha

I might just try that route out. I appreciate that. Like I said , not a real big fishing trip, just wanted to toss out a couple casts here and there. Probably easier that way anyway.

    What Salty said,
paddle tails like the holographic shad have been out fishing everything in the last week.
Slow the retrieve down with this colder water

Dont go with the throw the net plan this time of year.

    Frozen works fine if needed.
