belly sag, sway back, etc don't ever happen to some bucks. I guess they stay 3.5 forever according to that poster.
Which is exactly why aging jawbones does not work And recent studies show it to be inaccurate.

I can make a 14 month old steer look like a 3 year old breeding bull. All about the groceries. Crop the picture to show, head and neck. Looks like typical SC eight pointer.

Bases are small indicating he hasn’t shed many times.

Smilee those bases look larger than his eyes and have big burrs. Maybe my eyes ain't seeing what you are seeing. I'd have done shot and had him in the truck by now though, provided he showed up in daylight. And I don't claim to know much about aging deer so don't read an argument into this. Just conversation.

    I agree.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

I’m turning my vote in at 3.5 after looking at him a few times, that deer is thick and a saggy brisket doesn’t mean much if he’s got plenty to eat. He’s also gay, if he was straight he’d be rutted out and thin in the back end. Marginal rack and good body I’m letting him live another year.

I'm thinking pretty much the same, including being gay as the reason he's not punked out. Just too many corn piles around, and the bears appear to know where they're at too.
