What have y’all caught this year? So far I’ve caught 2 coyotes, 7 coons, 1 possum, and 1 unfortunate squirrel.

I caught an unfortunate squirrel last year and a big hawk was eating him when I pulled up. I removed the squirrel, threw his guts in the dirt hole and remade the set, drove back by on my way out and had caught the damn hawk.

I've caught two buzzards before and that makes for a fun release

Yeahhh...pro tip: don’t set traps around deer gut piles. Errry damn one of them will have a buzzard in it.

Had a bobcat show up on camera today. I’ve only got one trap in the ground right now...just playing around where we don’t deer hunt. Looking forward to setting everything up after the season.

Whatever y’all do don’t bait your sets with fish (sardines or tuna) in late January or February unless you want funk critters on the line. Ask me how I know.

Same here. Got a pretty good buck that’s started showing up in daylight the last few days. That’s the only reason I’m not already setting.

Same here. Waiting until deer season is over and then getting my sets in the ground. I’ve been getting greys, reds, yotes, and a bobcat on camera regularly.

Man it sure would be nice if it would quit raining every other day. I’m tired of having to spray these dang coons off before I can clean them. They are a hot mess with all the rain we have been getting.
