I once got $40 for a big cuda at in town suites- told them it was spotted wahoo. We used to sell fish like that all the time, usually sheepshead or blackfish.

Damn nuisance. Lots of nice fish this year came up in half’s.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Caught barracuda fishing in Cancun, sight fishing snook and tarpon.... Throw sardine a foot in front of a tarpon’s lips swimming towards the boat and a barracuda that you didn’t even see comes out of the mangroves and swallows it before the tarpon can. That gets pretty irritating.

What he said. I use to eat the small ones I’d catch in the keys back in the day.

They sure do stink. Crazy how when trolling if you cut a cutoff you can smell the line and know it is a cuda

Bahamians soak small ones in lime juice over night to kill the ciguatera then fry. Only way I would eat one.

I caught a damn big'n at the Edisto 60 a few years ago. Slow bottom fishing resulted in one hand-sized pinfish. I decided, what the hell, put him on a big circle hook and about 18 inches of wire and dropped him over the side. Big 'cuda came out from under the boat and inhaled it right in front of me. Took it back and met RP and his kids at the marina to show it off. Then used it for crab bait.
