Sposed to get "iffy" up on the hill tonight and tomorrow isn't it? Last I saw was some sleet/freezing here in the early morning.

I think so. May see a White Christmas this year. Thing is, if I wanted to see one, I would live in Wisconsin.

Random...but anyone else in Columbia area pay attention the seagulls that move back and forth from Murray to the dump out near the Sandhills every year?

Yesterday morning I saw the first flock......this morning there were thousands. They showed up last night.

It's not ducks or geese, but its a damn migration if I've ever seen one.

    Next come the corrmorants.

There are a couple of ponds at Harbison that are excellent indicator ponds of duck migration into the area. One in particular bears keeping an eye on...

One of my local spots over on this side of the Savannah River loaded up pretty good yesterday. Mallards, Gadwall and some divers. Mostly ringnecks.. Maybe a few Redheads. Didn't have my spotting scope in the truck.

This pond gave up a Jack Miner band two years ago. A 2001 on a Drake Mallard.. Hahahahaha

My friend Hal Wentz. That is unreal for a Mallard to live that long and travel to a little pond in GA to get whacked.

I always pay attention to the gulls because when I see them, it means duck season is near...

I killed one that was 17 years old per the band (not a Miner). My dumb ass ate him too. Should have gone on the wall!
