Everything about that wing and back says pintail.
The tail looks like a ruddy duck

My guess was BWT X Gadwall. Then I saw this bird on a Fb page and was half shocked. Still can’t see it..

I don’t see pintail at all. Not on the back or wing. I’m by no means a waterfowl biologist and I could definitely be wrong.
The bronze color on a pintail wing is on the trailing edge of the coverts with a white trailing edge on the secondaries. This bird has a faint bronze color on the trailing edge of the secondaries.
I stand by scaup due to the back, head, and wing. Redhead is not out of the realm of possibility but definitely one of those. I think ruddy is pretty much common sense base upon the head shape and tail feathers.
Additional pictures would definitely be helpful.

Be interested to see what a DNA test said about the matter. I can see the gadwall with the grey along the back. Just seems so highly unlikely that a dabbler would cross with a diver. I'm certain it happens, just seems like it'd be rare.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
